Clown Face Salad

1 1/2 cups torn lettuce

1 oz. cooked ham, cut into thin strips

1 hard boiled egg, shell removed, cut in half lengthwise

2 slices ripe black olive

1 cherry tomato

1 strip red bell pepper

3 (ready to eat) baby carrots, cut into thin strips

Salad dressing, any flavor

Directions

In a salad bowl or serving plate, arrange lettuce leaves for base of face.

Place egg halves on lettuce to resemble eyes, use sliced olives to make pupils.

Use the cherry for the nose and the red pepper slice for the mouth.

Arrange sliced ham on both sides of head to form hair. Make a bow tie at base of head from carrots.

Roll up a colorful printed piece of paper into a cone shape and tape at seams to create a hat and sit on top of the head. (Kids can decorate their own clown hats on plain paper for added fun).

Note: Substitute turkey or chicken for the ham.
